TROUBLES!
We have not only started the extinction ball rolling but we have pushed it into warp speed.

It doesn't matter now. The damage has already been done. The fuel needed to begin our own extinction event has already been burned.

There is no putting the genie in the bottle now not when we have uncorked millions of bottles.

In every past extinction event there was an initial cause that led to all the other events of the extinction.

The dinosaurs were wiped out by a meteor.

The Permian Mass Extinction Event otherwise known as The Great Dying was caused by volcanoes of the Siberian Traps burning underground coal seams.

In every past extinction event there is the initial cause.

We have drilled and mined and brought up fossil fuels from almost every part of the Earth's surface and burned it.

The fuel used in our current event dwarfs all of the fuel used in past extinction events.

We have not only started the extinction ball rolling but we have pushed it into warp speed.

Our own man made extinction event is moving at least 500 times faster than the Permian Mass Extinction Event that killed off 95% of all life.

This isn't over yet but we simply cannot undo all the damage that we have done.

It's done.

Right now there is enough greenhouse gases in the atmosphere to warm up the Earth by 5° to 8°C degrees. The only reason it hasn't (Yet) is because there still is ice in the Arctic and Antarctic which is helping to cool the planet down. Our polar regions are acting as giant air conditioners to help cool the planet.

Of course it takes time for all that ice to melt. The greenhouse gases needed to melt it all is already in the atmosphere.

We are on the verge of seeing the Arctic ice go first and when it does, the air conditioner for the northern hemisphere turns off. And then all sorts of shit is going to happen.

There is only one way to stop it from happening.

We have to remove the greenhouse gases causing it to melt.

We have to develop extremely powerful carbon capture technology extremely fast and suck out all that carbon from the atmosphere in as little as 10 months.

The task at hand is so monumental in scale and we don't even have the technology to do anything about it. Carbon Capture technology right now is still in it's infancy stage. It doesn't even scratch the surface of our emissions let alone do anything about what we already have in the atmosphere.

10 months. Or we may dodge the bullet and get an additional year. That's not much of a comfort.

Unlike what the IPCC says, once the summer ice in the Arctic is gone, it's gone for good. They really should place an expert in Arctic Research on their panel.

Once the ice is gone then the only place that can generate polar air will be Greenland.

Warmer tropical air will move into the Arctic region and greatly speed up the thawing of the permafrost. The Sunlight will be absorbed by the darker ocean waters and the underwater seabed methane hydrates will destabilize and release massive amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. This will further speed the thawing of ice significantly up and the air conditioner of the north goes Bye-Bye.

The Earth won't just warm up 5° to 8°C. It will warm up to the temperatures that all the new excess greenhouse gases will produce.

Global Extinction will be swift.

90% of the human population lives in the northern hemisphere. They will die first.

The 10% in the southern hemisphere will follow not too long after.

Finnish president: If we lose the Arctic, we lose the world

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto has called for preventing geopolitical tensions in the Arctic.

“We need to make sure that the Arctic remains a zone of cooperation. The strategic importance of the Arctic is constantly increasing”, he said during the plenary session of the ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’.

Niinisto also devoted special attention to the problem of climate change and environmental problems.
“This is a matter of global significance. If we lose the Arctic, we lose the world”, he said.

The president also pointed out that the Arctic has been unusually warm for the third year in a row. This shows that the problem of global warming is getting worse, he said.

“The average temperature is increasing twice as fast as in other regions. This is a very serious challenge for the entire planet, but Arctic residents are seeing this more quickly than others”, he said.
